STA Newsletter – Snow White, Crewing and EGM

Last Week

Last week we undertook many preparations for PantoSoc’s Snow White in the Winston Theatre. In the Pegg was MTB’s Dogfight, which was an exciting and eventful week for all involved.

This Week

This week we’re focused on Snow White, with a dress and 4 performances, plus a number of fixes to make. It’s going to be a super exciting time!* The schedule for the week is below.

Crewing Meeting

There will be a crewing meeting on Wednesday 9th December, 14:00 in the Winston Theatre. In this meeting we will be crewing all the roles for the shows in the Pegg after Christmas – this will be a Stage Manager, someone to do lighting, and someone to do sound. We will also be crewing a few positions for our larger shows that have been recently created or have become open; this includes a Sound Engineer for Dance Show and an Effects Master for Sweeney Todd.

All are welcome – if you’ve never done anything before, there will be supervisors crewed to help you! A list of all the shows is available at http://www.bristolsta.com/get-involved/

Next Week

Next week, Tuesday 15th December at 17:30, will be the STA EGM. We will be voting in up to 3 Non-Portfolio Officers (NPOs), as well as a New Members’ Rep. Nominations for positions can be made either in writing or by emailing secretary@bristolsta.com at least 1 day in advance of the meeting. Motions to change the way the STA operates may also be submitted in the same manner. Further information will be provided in a separate email.
